Meet the Founder

My passion for textiles, craftsmanship, and all things uniquely beautiful, fuels my dedication to designing interiors. As a self-taught designer, the foundation of my aesthetic is rooted in a functional floor plan highlighted by furnishings and accessories that bring character, joy, and often times a story to the design.

I have been in the design industry for over 25 years. Initially working for a leading real estate broker managing the improvements of their corporate owned homes, then moving on to home staging and small scale design projects. I took the opportunity in 2011 to head up the buying and management of a local clothing boutique where I blended my creativity with the nuances of budgets, order procurement and management. With the added flexibility of having all 3 children in school, I seized the opportunity and joined a prominent interior design firm outside of Minneapolis where I expanded my portfolio to full scale design projects. In 2025, feeling the time was right, I took a leap and revived my interior design business and that is where JG Design was founded.
